¨ In 75 B.C. he was captured by pirates and released after forty days.
¨ In 73 B.C. he was elected Pontifex.
¨ In 72 B.C. he was elected Military Tribune.
¨ Cornelia died in 69 B.C.
¨ In 67 B.C. he married Pompeia.
¨ In 65 B.C. he was elected Aedile.
¨ In 63 B.C. he was elected Pontifex Maximus.
¨ Divorced Pompeia in 62 B.C.
¨ Became governor of Further Spain in 61 B.C.
¨ In 60 B.C. became Consul and formed Triumvirate with Crassus and Pompey.
¨ Married Calpurnia in 59 B.C.
¨ Appointed governor of Gaul (France) in 58 B.C.

During his dictatorship, he made many reforms.
